MEC is fortunate to have the dedication, talents and energy of its volunteer Board of Directors. The MEC Board of Directors meets the second Monday of each month at 5:30 pm. All members are invited to attend. The meeting agenda is provided in both Word and PDF format below.
Board of Directors
President: Camille Jackson
Camille currently serves as the President for the Board of Directors. She first joined the Board as an ex-officio member, acting as a liaison between the Board and the Montessori Parents' Association. During her tenure, Camille has served as the Chair for the Annual Gala as well as a member of the Capital Campaign and Finance Committees. Camille and her husband, Trey, are the parents of a 7 year old in Mrs. Gaiennie's and Mrs. Rozas' class.
Vice President: Noelle Crowell
Noelle is the mother of 4 boys and wife to Michael Crowell. Three of her sons, Aiden, Stamps, and Henry attend Montessori Educational Center and her youngest will join the toddler program in the Fall. She has a degree in accounting from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University. She worked for Arthur Andersen, LLC, an accounting firm, in both Charlotte, NC and San Francisco, CA in the areas of audit and tax, respectively. She continued her tax work with HSBC in San Francisco. Noelle currently serves on the River Oaks Square Arts Center Board of Directors as well as the MEC Board of Directors. Her past experience also includes serving on Junior League of Alexandria Board and the St. James Episcopal Day School Board. In addition to her accounting background and Board experiences, she brings her devotion to volunteerism and advocacy for healthy living to share with MEC community. Noelle is passionate about supporting the teachers, staff, and students at MEC school by participating in the Montessori Parents Association's programs and volunteer opportunities. She hopes to continue her efforts by serving on the MEC Board of Directors for another term.

Nicole has served on the MEC Board for six years. She is the Chairperson for Board Development, Strategic Planning, and the Gala Silent Auction. She received her B.A. Degree from Louisiana College in Elementary Education with additional certifications in Special Education and Early Childhood. She received her M.A. Degree from L.S.U. in Administration and Supervision. She served as the President of the LA Early Childhood Association 2002-2004 and is Nationally Board Certified as an Early Childhood Generalist. Currently, Nicole works with the LA State Department of Education and the DeSoto Parish School System, supporting schools implementing the school reform model TAP (Teacher Advancement Program). She, husband Aubrey Bolen, have two children attending Montessori Educational Center.
Elliott is the proud father of three young Montessori children. His wife, Catherine, teaches in the toddler program; he is also proud of her! Elliott helps run his family's swimming pool business, Ewing Pool & Spa, in Alexandria and also has eight years of experience working as a land man in the oil and gas business. He graduated in 2000 from Bolton high school, in 2004 from LSU where he majored in public speaking and in 2008 with a master’s in public relations from the UL at Lafayette. Elliott's primary extracurricular interests are music and soccer, both of which consume a large part of his life. Besides the enthusiasm he has for his family, his job, and his interests, he is wildly excited about lip-synch battle this year!
Farhan enjoyed his Montessori education and grew up in East Tennessee. After completing his medical education at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans, he relocated to Alexandria several years ago with his wife and two boys who are currently enrolled in the primary and elementary classrooms. Farhan enjoys being involved in the community and the outdoors. His boys love soccer and playing outside. When his is not in the office, you can find him on the racetrack. His other hobbies include traveling and camping.
Rob has served on the MEC Board for two years. He has worked with the middle school expansion, capital campaign, and the special needs committee. He attended LSU and received B.S., MA., Ph.D degrees in Psychology. He is an Associate Professor of Psychology at LSUA where he teaches classes on Child Development, Educational Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis. Training interests include early intervention with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, behavior management, prevention of behavior problems in children. He is a Licensed Behavior Analyst and also works with the Louisiana Autism Center. Rob and his wife Jennifer Wright, have two children attending Montessori Educational Center and expecting one the summer of 2017.
